2017-07-19 06:02

The UNL Fresh Produce-sponsored darts league kicked off on Wednesday night with six clubs contesting the league Cup.
This league is played on a singles four-a-side game (16) point system.
The Quartz Conference Centre was the place to be as clubs challenged for the win. Darnall United was awarded a walkover on the night as Nevil's Auto had some players issues.

Sundowner Darts Club team Darrel Shanmagum, Terrence Subban, Len Naidoo and Neeran Somnath, who were unstoppable on the night, beat Strini Motors 11-5.
The Strini Motors team Meersingh Soobram, Ajen Singh, Asogan Luthusumanan and Leon Moonsamy failed to captilise on the closing of their games and had to pay dearly on the night.
Shanmagum, who was riding high on the night, produced terrific darts and won all four games.
Neeran Somnath trailed with three wins while Subban and Naidoo won two games a peice.

Meersingh was the only player from Strini Motors to pick up three points.
On the other hand Neelan's A beat Neelan's B by a close margin 9-7.
Justin Naidoo was the cream of the crop for Neelan's A team, winning four games to give his team victory. Yogan Pillay from the B team won three games followed by his team mates with two games each.
Tonight the association will host a singles tournament sponsored by Jerry Govender and family while the selected players will be doing battle in the SA Nationals in Durban.
