Youth League marches to private hospital

The hospital management eventually came out to accept and sign the memorandum after it was read to them and they with some of the demands made by the youth league such as not outsourcing companies for cleaning and security as those jobs can be offered to the local youth.

Sabelo reiterated the call for beneficiation of local people more especially the youth in every project that takes place in KwaDukuza.

“The mere fact that the hospital is private means that it is making a lot of money and it’s only fair that the youth gets a share in the pie of the economy of the land of KwaDukuza as the unemployment rate stands at a staggering 25%,” he added.

Apart from minor vandalising incidents on the premises there was no further damage to property reported as the march ended peacefully with high police visibility.
