Delft baby found in bin

Delft police are trying to find the person who dumped a newborn baby in a bin this morning.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Brian Daniels says at about 08:00 on Friday (10 February) police were called out to Spar where a dead newborn was found in a bin.

"At this stage the detectives and forensics are attending the scene. It is unclear who the mother is but we are calling on anyone with information to come forward."
