7de Laan Sportsbar andamp; Pub in Parklaan op Uitenhage se amptelike opening word Saterdag gevier met ’n groot Rock Die Laan Festival.

Natasja en Jimmy Lemley is die trotse en suksesvolle egpaar en eienaars van drie kuierplekke op Uitenhage, waarvan 7de Laan die nuutste is. Hulle nooi die publiek uit om Saterdag die opening saam met hulle te kom vier.

Die Lemleys is die afgelope 15 jaar in dié be-dryf en het elkeen van hulle besighede opgebou deur harde werk en uithouvermoë. Dié besighede is gewilde kuierplekke vir inwoners van Uitenhage.

Tasja, soos sy in die algemeen bekend is, is nie net ’n suksesvolle sakevrou nie, maar met die ondersteuning die afgelope 19 jaar van haar man Jimmy, is sy net so ’n suksesvolle sportvrou. Sy het Suid-Afrika op internasionale vlak verteenwoordig in skopboks (kickboxing) en onlangs weereens ’n goue medalje gewen tydens die Suid-Afrikaanse skopboks-kampioenskappe wat in Kaapstad aangebied is.

Rock Die Laan Festival program:

12:00 Live Bands

15:00 Mej. 7de Laan (vier ouderdoms-kategorieë, inskrywings word ingewag). Beoordelaars: Lettie Serfontein, Bonita Cillie en Maxine Cillie (Mej. Tiener Oos-Kaap 2015).

16:00 Kickboxing demonstration

16:30 Mechanical Bull Ride. Deur die loop van die middag word ’n kompetisie gehou om te kyk wie die langse op die bul se rug kan uithou. Groot pryse is te wen!

18:00 Karaoke-kompetisie

20:00 Dark Custard rockgroep sorg vir musiek die res van die aand.

Ander vermaak:

• Jumping castle

• Beerpong tafel, enkel- en spankompetisies

• Meneer Boep en Wet T-shirt kompetisie

• Gelukkige trekkings en promosies

• Kosstalletjies

• Bike en karwas-meisies

Toegang is R50 vir volwassenes en sluit ’n kenteken in en vir kinders is die toegang R30.
