One of this year’s finalists in the Mr Junior South Africa competition hosted by Pageants SA, hails from Uitenhage.

Nicholas Toring, a former Innes Primary and Brandwag learner, currently is a first year BA-degree student at the University of the Western Cape.

“Being a finalist in this year’s Mr Junior SA competition is exciting, a wonderful experience and a lot of fun. My priority, however, is to complete my studies and eventually to specialise in Clinical Phycology,” said the twenty-year-old Nicholas Toring.

Pageants SA was founded by Carolyn Baldwin during 1999 after she realised that “the South African market desperately needed a pageantry system that was above board and most importantly honest and fair.”

The Face of South Africa competition was launched in conjunction with the Mr andamp; Miss Junior South Africa competition and the overall winner will be attending the Face of Beauty International pageant later this year.

Apart from Nicholas being a natural on the catwalk, he also is a talented singer and is a member of the South African Youth Choir as tenor one. He formerly was a member of the Eastern Cape Youth Choir.

During the finals Nicholas will be proudly dressed by Ideals mens fashion store from Uitenhage.

The vibrant Nicholas Toring will be leaving for Pretoria soon to attend the finals which will be held from April 29th to May 3rd.

)He invites the public of Uitenhage please to support him through the Pageants SA sms voting line. All you need to do is sms “MRJ06” to 47018 (cost is R2/sms) before May 2nd at 14:00
