2018-10-04 06:00

A total of 336 readers are needed each to for 15 minutes read from a English, Afrikaans or Xhosa Bible.

This is to complete the 84 hour time span of a Bible Reading Marathon which will be held in Despatch.

The marathon starts on Friday, October 26th at 05:00 and will continue until Monday, October 29th at 18:00.

The reading will be done at the Despatch Town Hall.

According to Illona de Wit, organiser of the event, the marathon will not be held in the name of any ministry.

“All interested and registered individuals will participate by reading the Bible from Genesis to the Book of Revelation continuously in 15 minute slots,” said Illona.

“We are presently scheduling and reserving reading time. Groups are welcome and are invited to sign up for blocks of time, should a group of people wish to read one after another.”
