Hoërskool Brandwag se eerste krieketspan het uitstekend gevaar in die eerste deel van die 2017-seisoen deur vyf uit hulle sewe wedstryde te wen.

Boonop het hulle die vyf laaste wedstryde agtereenvolgend gewen.

Die vyf oorwinnings was teen Nico Malan (met 3 paaltjies), Victoria Park (met 5 paaltjies), Grey se derdes (met 8 paaltjies), St Dominic’s (met 140 lopies) en Muir (met 131 lopies).

Van die kolwers wat die beste pre-steer het, is kaptein Bevan O’Neill wat ’n onoorwonne 57 teen Nico Malan, asook ’n onoorwonne 77 teen Muir geslaan het.

Fergus Latola het 61 nie uit nie teen Victoria Park aangeteken.

Onderkaptein Corrie de Ridder het 61 teen St Dominic’s gemaak en in dieselfde wedstryd 2 paaltjies vir 14 in 4 boulbeurte geneem.

Die beste boulers oor die vyf wedstryde was Chadwin November en Jano Schoonraad wat elk altesaam 9 paaltjies geneem het, asook Jeandré Swanepoel wat altesaam 8 geneem het en De Wet Alberts wat 6 geneem het.
