Brazen shooting in KwaNobuhle

KwaNobuhle police seek assistance in solving a brazen shooting incident that claimed the life of a man (35). His daughter (7) sustained injuries while another 15-year-old escaped unscathed during this attack.

Last Thursday, February 7th around 02:00, it is alleged that two armed men entered a house in Dalindyebo Street, KwaNobuhle through a bedroom window. It is further said that the suspects fatally shot Lunga Pongoma who was sleeping in his bed.

“Some bullets grazed his 7-year-old daughter in the upper body. She was later rushed to hospital. Another 15-year-old daughter escaped unscathed,” said police spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart.

Police have opened a murder and attempted murder case for investigation and are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Deon Arnolds at 083 336 1086 or to anonymously share information via Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
