College Hill’s first golf day

2019-06-06 06:00

College Hill Preparatory School will be hosting their first ever Golf Day on August 24th at the Uitenhage Golf Club.

It will be an 18 hole, 2 ball American Scramble, competition held from 07:30 and they are eager to attract many participants.

“The school is the only preparatory school in Uitenhage, making it very popular for parents wanting to give their children a solid foundation phase education. The increased interest in College Hill has led to huge growth in the school, which now caters for 639 learners,” said College Hill Preparatory School principal Birgitta Marais.

“More learners require more space, hence, College Hill will be creating another Grade R facility to broaden their campus.”

The College Hill Golf Day will serve as a fundraiser for the school’s new Grade R facility.

“We are well aware that to attract more players, we need spectacular prizes and lucky draws. We are appealing for donations/sponsorship in the following areas,” said principal Marais.

• Sponsors for 18 greens and tee boxes at R200 a green and R200 a tee box -sponsors who opt for this option are able to display their banners and flyers at the tee they are sponsoring, they will also have the option of distributing business cards.

• Sponsorship for 4 balls at R1000 per 4 ball

• At least 5 prizes to the value of R500 or more

• At least 10 prizes to the value of R200 or more

• Managing a water-hole

• Drinks for the water-holes

“College Hill would like to see this Golf Day as one of many more to come, where they can engage with a larger part of our community and provide an enjoyable day of networking and relaxation.

“Your sponsorship/donation/advertising is what fuels the interest in this event, thus would be highly appreciated and valued,” said principal Marais.
