CPF invites public to tell about problems

2016-01-28 06:00

The Uitenhage Community Policing Forum invites residents of the town to attend the forthcoming monthly meeting to be informed regarding projects to combat crime in the area.

Representatives from schools, businesses, recreational facilities as well as home-owners are urged to get involved in CPF projects.

“We as a community have to let the criminal elements in our area know, that we are tired of theft and disruption of our lives,” said Pat Unsworth from the Uitenhage CPF.

“The community must meet and discuss a deliberate effort to assist the local police in preventing crime and to bring criminal elements to book. Our future of living safe in harmony and peace depends on it.”

Monthly meetings are held each first Thursday of the month at the Uitenhage police station at 17:00. Sound advice is shared at these meetings. There also is a Uitenhage CPF stand at each of the Uitenhage Market days at Willow Dam every first Sunday of the month.

“The public are invited to come and chat to us at the market day. We need to know of your problems and will do all we can to assist, that is what CPF stands for,” said Unsworth.
