HTS Daniel Pienaar se eerste rugbyspan het Queens College in ‘n opwindende wedstryd by die Grenstoernooi in Oos-Londen met 36-24 gewen. Queens het met goeie hardlooprugby eerste punte aangeteken en gou die telbord op 0-12 laat staan.

Daniel Pienaar het hul ritme gekry en twee drieë voor halftyd gedruk. Queens het nog ’n keer agter die doellyn ’n draai gemaak en die halftydtelling was 12-17 in hul guns.

In die tweede helfte het DP meer balbesit gehad en twee drieë uit hul eie halfgebied gedruk (telling: 26-17). Queens het vinnig teruggeveg en dadelik, na ‘n fout van DP met die afskop, ‘n drie gedruk.

Die laaste 10 minute van die wedstryd is deur DP oorheers en met hulle spanpoging slaag hulle daarin om twee drieë aan te teken.
