Foodmarket caters for all tastes

2016-06-16 06:00

Yes, it is true, the primary function of food is to sustain our bodies and to provide us with valuable nutrition. But there actually is much more to nosh than just nutrition. Food can be your passion, career and sometimes food defines your social life.

Whatever role food plays in your life, the Foodmarket-on-Penford at the Philadelphia Church caters for a wide taste and with its seating inside and outside, it is the ideal place to socialize.

“Come and have breakfast, lunch or simply enjoy snacks with friends and family,” said Joe Cloete, one of the organisers of the foodmarket.

It will be held on Saturday from 09:00 to 14:00. There will be things from traditional bazaar puddings to juicy cheese grillers, pancakes, crispy chicken strips, eisbein, breakfast rolls and filter coffee to name a few.

“Funds raised at the foodmarket will go toward the Amalinda Forest Project in East London and an outreach to India next month,” said Cloete.
