A one-day free community based HIV testing services and other related health screenings as well as the community health dialogue will be held next Wednesday, November 22nd from 10:00 at the open field opposite the Rosedale Clinic.

It will be hosted by the Centre for Communication Impact (CCI) in partnership with the Eastern Cape Department of Health, Local Health Partners and the Provincial AIDS Council.

The objective of the event is to provide an opportunity for communities in the Rosedale district to access a range of health testing and screening services as well as voicing out their concerns in a community dialogue.

The aim is to contribute to the prevention of new HIV, STI, NCDs and TB infections and actively link communities to relevant prevention and treatment services.

The event will feature speakers from Eastern Cape DOH Provincial Directorate, HIV ambassadors, health professionals, Patrick “Tururu” Lindoor, Pastor Ronnie from PEFM and influencers from the community of Uitenhage.

The event is a partnership between government, donors and civil society and is in support of efforts to mobilise women and men to improve their health and well-being.
