The Eastern Province Clivia Club will be having its annual Spring Clivia Show at Sherwood Garden Centre, Port Elizabeth from the 17th to the 18th September.

The public will be astounded by the colour varieties and shapes available apart from the well-known orange. Some of these indigenous shade loving and water wise plants will be on sale.

Carrie Kruger a well-known interspecific and miniata breeder from Sedgefield will attend the show. Two other prominent growers will also show or have plants for sale and they are Charl Malan from Grahamstown, known for his big Chiba flowering plants and the Vico breeding lines, Sean Chubb known for his peach Clivia will be selling seeds, coveted from all over the world. Gideon Botha and Marius Meyer are local club members that are big hybridizers of clivia and will have a big variety of quality plants

Show times will be Saturday from 9:00 to 17:00 and Sunday 9:00 until 15:00.

  • Admission will be R10 per person and young kids will be for free.
