Na ‘n afwesigheid van 9 jaar in krag-optel, maak drie kragoptellers van Despatch Hard Bodies Gim, ‘n welkome terugkeer tot die sport wat die afgelope naweek by Westview Skool in Port Elizabeth gehou was.

Dewald Nielsen het eerste gekom in die senior borsopdruk gewigsklas onder 93kg met 150kg borsopdruk.

Francois Vercuil het eerste gekom in die senior onder 93kg gewigskategorie met ‘n hurksit van 145kg, borsopdruk van 145kg en dooiegewig van 220kg.

Eben Booyens het eerste gekom in die senior onder 83kg klas met 215kg hurksit, 175kg borsopdruk en met ‘n 215kg dooiegewig. Sy hurksit en borsopdruk is ook Oos-Kaap rekords.

Die volgende kompetisie is op 21 Oktober by HTS Newtonpark in die Baai. -Heilie Combrinck
