SIYAHKULA Netball Club from KwaNobuhle has added another trophy to its list of achievements after winning the Heritage Netball Tournament which was held in Kirkwood.

They team played against Somerset East Netball Club in a tough final, eventually scoring 11-10, to be crowned the tournament winner.

Siyakhula Netball Club previously was the winner of the 2018 Mayoral Netball Cup and this season finished second in the Nelson Mandela Bay Netball Association B Reserve league.

“We are also very proud of Zikhona Twayi, who was selected for the Nelson Mandela Bay netball team to participate in trials held in Johannesburg,” said coach Mzwanele “Nkini” Yilani.

“We now are preparing for the Fast 5 Netball Tournament. It will indeed be very fast.

“In coaching the players to keep it up, we follow specific training methods. Stamina, flexibility, communication and discipline are key factors,” said Yilani.

The Fast 5 Netball Tournament will be held on November 9th at Charlo Primary in Port Elizabeth.
