MAX Frank (85), a Past District Governor (PDG) of Lions International, was granted a life membership certificate for his rendering of outstanding service to both the communities and Lions Clubs he served for the past 50 years.

He joined the Queenstown Lions Club during 1968 and later became a member of the Uitenhage Lions Club.

After joining the Queenstown Lions Club his dedication to humanitarian service and to live the Lion motto of “We Serve” resulted in him being awarded a Melvin Jones Fellowship. He also held the portfolios of Club President, Zone Chairperson and in 1997 was appointed to the post of District Governor in District 410D with his appointment taking place in Montreal, Canada.

In 1998 he relocated to Port Elizabeth and transferred to the Uitenhage Lions Club where he still is an active member.
