PUBLIC Image, a hip hop band based in KwaNobuhle, is set to release their debut album by the end of May 2018.

The producer of the album, Ayanda Nxa-kala also known as Shandaan, said, “We have spend so much time perfecting the art of producing and recording these songs. And it all-in-all is locally produced.”

He is joined by fellow muscians Lubabalo Tshete (KrazziLubbie) and Siphosethu Mngquishu (Luco Se). Prior to establishing the band they have as solo artists performed at various events in Nelson Mandela Bay.

“As we regard our album as a gift from the three of us to listeners and hence our talents are a gift from God, we decided to call the album ‘Gifted’,’’ said Lubabalo.

According to Luco Se, they have added a modern day sound to hip hop which is referred to as “trap”.

Public Image will be performing at an event hosted by MNT Records on March, 31st.

Their new single, uYandiKhalisa, is out and available for free download as the full album can be purchased upon its release date in May. The album features 10 songs and it was recorded at MNT Records.
