Medical male circumcision outreach

2016-05-26 06:00

The Port Elizabeth Medical Male Circumcision will undertake an outreach to the Rosedale community to perform circumcision on males from the ages of 15 to 50+ years.

The outreach will be held at the Rosedale Community Health Centre starting at 07:30.

According to Thulani Zulu, Acting Team Leader, medical male circumcision has the benefit of reducing the chances of contracting HIV by 60%. It also protects a female partner against contracting cervical cancer and protects against contracting penile cancer.

  • It will be held on July 11th from 07:30. Bookings can be made at the Rosedale Community Health Centre or by phoning Freddie Philander on 063 552 5376 or 041 506 1114.
