Muir old boy Andrew Binning, CEO of the Port Elizabeth based Inkanyezi Events has been named the new national president of the Exhibition and Events Association of Southern Africa.

As the first ever EXSA president from the Eastern Cape, the appointment is significant.

“The Eastern Cape’s profile as an event destination is growing and while there are limitations to the size of events that the region is able to host, it will be an increasingly attractive option for international and national event organisers,” said Binning.

“Access to Big 7, malaria-free game viewing is a unique and sellable feature of the Eastern Cape”, he said.

Binning is an alumnus of Muir College Uitenhage and the NMMU.

He founded Inkanyezi Events in 1998. The company has since established itself as an industry leader.
