A trio made up of three brilliant musicians, who have managed to achieve so much through their love for music, will perform at the Nelson Mandela University South Campus Auditorium on Saturday evening.

The Nelson Mandela University’s Music Department will be hosting JF Viljoen, Caleb Vaughn-Jones and Jenny Brand. Jones, an American cellist born in Charleston, South Carolina, now resides in South Africa. He has collaborated with many Hollywood actors on stage and in film.

J.F. Viljoen graduated with a Master’s degree in Music at the Nelson Mandela University and is the chosen soloist for the Eastern Cape Philharmonic Youth Concerto festival. Jenny Brand studied in Bloemfontein where she completed her BMus Hons and won the woodwind section of the ATKV Forte competition.

The recital will consist of pieces from Beethoven, Faure, Schumann and Mozart and is sure to leave you speechless.

The concert starts at 19:00 and tickets are R50/adult, R30/pensioner and R20/students. Tickets will be sold at the door.
