BRIGADIER Thandiswa Miranda Kupiso was appointed as the new Station Commander for the South African Police Service in Uitenhage.

Brigadier Kupiso joined the service during 1990, starting at the Community Service Centre in KwaZakhele. She gained extensive knowledge and experience in all policing fields and over the years rose through the ranks to Brigadier.

She is in possession of a National Diploma in Police Administration and a Baccalaureus Technologiae degree in Policing. Her current field of study is BA Psychology.

“I am looking forward to being one of the family members of Uitenhage. I am familiar with the demographics of Uitenhage as about 12 years ago, I was stationed at Despatch,” said Brigadier Kupiso.

“It feels like coming back home. I commit myself to delivering service to the community and aligning myself and all the personnel of Uitenhage to the SAPS Vision: 2030.”
