The Old Skoolers have one thing in mind, they want to bring along positive change in support of their Alma Mater.
Now in existence for almost a year, this non-profit organisation was established by former learners from McCarthy Comprehensive Secondary School in Uitenhage.
“This beautiful school sadly has been subjected to acts of vandalism over the years,” said Denver Hendricks, a member of the Old Skoolers.
“We as the proud products of this school have decided to stop waiting for something to happen, but rather make it happen ourselves.”
Their next project is to paint some parts/departments of McCarthy school and to convert a classroom into a computer room as Volkswagen South Africa Community Trust has sponsored 30 Towers (Computer Boxes) towards the project.
As part of their fundraisings a 5km fun run will be held on August 6th.
