Professor Jonathan Jansen will be at the South End Museum in Port Elizabeth on Saturday to launch his latest book, “Song for Sarah” in the Nelson Mandela Metropole.

Prof Jansen, who will be joined by his sister Naomi Jansen, will be interacting with the audience sharing their memories of the role of their mother in raising them. The book speaks to the role of mothers raising their children in challenging circumstances and is relevant still today.

Dr Annelien Keet from Nelson Mandela University will lead the conversation with Prof Jansen and his sister. The book is also available in Afrikaans, “Lief vir Sarah: Lesse van my Ma”. The launch is at 16:00 for 16:30 at the South End Musuem, at the corner of Walmer Boulevard and Humewood Road.
