Rock the Hage is Uitenhage’s premier annual rock festival featuring a great lineup of local bands and what is more is that it all is to the benefit of local charity.

Local rock bands like Day Trippers, Beddlam, Poltergeist, Anton Calitz and many more will take to the stage. The event will be hosted at Riebeek College on March 23rd & 24th from 18:00 till late on both of the evenings. It is supported by the Rotary Club of Uitenhage South.

“The proceeds will go to a range of local charities in Uitenhage. Particularly towards the refurbishment of the reception classrooms at Caritas School in Rosedale,” said Rotarian Clive Hassell from the Rotary Club of Uitenhage South.

Food and soft drinks will be available.

“Festivalgoers may bring their own refreshments, thus helping to make it a really inexpensive night out whilst enjoying brilliant live rock music and help local communities into the bargain,” said Rotarian Hassell.

  • Tickets are R70 each and can be purchased at lots of shops around town or from any member of the Rotary Club of Uitenhage South. Please call or WhatsApp 082 556 4585 for your nearest outlet. - HEILIE COMBRINCK
