“Walk The Talk and Have Fun” was the theme of the acceptance speech as Dayalan Naidoo accepted the chain of office and the responsibilities of becoming president of The Rotary Club of Uitenhage South for the next 12 months.

Naidoo was inducted by the outgoing President, Manoj Karsan at a gala dinner held at Uitenhage Golf Club last Saturday evening.

The new president said he was excited to be taking over at the helm of the club.

“I am looking forward to a year when members would have fun whilst carrying forward the serious work of community support in our less fortunate neighbourhoods,” said Dayalan Naidoo, who has belonged to the club for 9 years.

He stressed how important it is for members to really have fun and enjoy what the club does, saying that when they really enjoyed what they did the feeling would rub off on others and help the club to spread the word of what they do, and perhaps, with luck, attract a few new members.
