Rotary looking for outstanding citizen

Annually through the prestige De Mist Award, the Rotary Club of Uitenhage gives recognition to a citizen who has performed meritorious service to the community on a level beyond the reasonable call of duty.

The Rotary Club is currently awaiting nominations for the award from any organisation or person.

Nomination forms can be obtained from the UD Express office at 73A Graaff Reinet Road or from Rotarian Abrie Jordaan at 30 De Jongh Drive, Uitenhage or by phoning 041 992 5896. Complete forms can be handed in at the UD Express or the abovementioned address.

The De Mist Award was first initiated by the Rotary Club of Uitenhge in 1974. It is named after the founder of the town, Jacob Abraham Uitenhage De Mist.
