Rotary’s search for outstanding citizen

Annually through the prestige De Mist Award, the Rotary Club of Uitenhage gives recognition to a citizen who has performed meritorious service to the community on a level beyond the reasonable call of duty.

The Rotary Club is currently awaiting nominations for the award from any organisation or person. Nomination forms can be obtained from the UD News office or from Rotarian A. Jordaan at 30 De Jongh Drive, Uitenhage or by phoning 041 992 5896. Complete forms can be handed in at the UD News or the above-mentioned address.

The De Mist Award was first initiated by the Rotary Club of Uitenhage in 1974. It is named after the founder of the town, Jacob Abraham Uitenhage De Mist.
