The South African Police Service in the Uitenhage Cluster intends hosting a special meeting for all former SAPS officers and members, who retired owing to medical boarding or pension, on Friday, 17 March at 10:00.

The purpose of the meeting is to establish a forum where former employees can meet on a regular basis and this meeting will coincide with the POLMED wellness event.

All former (retired and medical boarded) SAPS officers and members residing within Addo, Despatch, Kamesh, Kirkwood, Kwanobuhle, Steytlerville, Wolwefontein and Uitenhage are invited to attend the meeting. A POLMED wellness event will be hosted during office hours, 08:00 – 15:30, from Thursday, 16 March 2017 to Friday, 17 March.

It is an open invitation to all POLMED members and their registered dependents. It will include free blood and other tests used to screen for a number of possible underlying medical conditions. POLMED administrators will also be able to address any scheme enquiries or concerns.

Bring your POLMED card and identification document (ID) along. It will be conducted at the office of the Uitenhage Cluster Commander, Victoria building, Church Street, Uitenhage.

  • Enquiries: Lt Col Corné de Ridder on 082 301 7980 or Ms Jeanne Strydom at the office on 041 996 3031.
