Budget Bicycles’ cycling team are all psyched up as they will for the third consecutive year, cycle all the way to the Karoo Mighty Men Conference at the foot of the Renosterberg mountain near Middelburg.

On their week long trip to the beautiful Karoo Heartland, they will stop along the road to do good, visiting crèches, schools and old age homes, spreading the Word and to donate much needed items.

The cycling trip is the initiative of Marius and Natasha Erasmus, owners of Budget Bicycles at Despatch. But the wheels would not have kept on turning without the support of local businesses and individuals who kind-heartedly sponsor this trip financially or by donating items like blankets, food, clothing, toiletries and Bibles, which are handed-out along the road. Therefore they would like to thank the following sponsors: Despatch Superspar, JVT Projects, KVBP, Cuyler Dunlop, Strydom Kickboxing, Goscar Verspreiders, Top Gear, RSG, Slabbert Slaghuis, Wild Rapids Spur Uitenhage, Panarottis Despatch, Bonties Plumbers, Capellinis, Omnico, Klinicare Despatch, TM Auto Clinic, Targo Siyamara, Uitenhage Lions Club, HCL Engineering, Iloreez Goosen Sangakademie, Despatch Bootcamp, Herbalife, Book Exchange Despatch/Sunridge, Bayway Motor Trimmers, Creative Wood Works, Algoa Steel, Future Life, NGK Eendrag, AfriSave, Budget Bicycles, T’s Auto Clinic, Shell Meyer Motors, Mototronix, Chris Auto Body Repairs, NOK Vevoer, Hutz Engineering.

A group of approximately 30 cyclists will start the Karoo MMC cycling journey on Saturday, April 23rd at 06:30 from Despatch Superspar. Most of these cyclists are support cyclists and will return, but 5 tough cyclists will cycle the full 510km. The route is from Despatch, Kirkwood, Steytlerville, Klipplaat, Aberdeen, Graaff Reinet and then to Middelburg. The Karoo Mighty Men Conference will be held from April 29th to May 1st. For more information visit www.karoommc.co. Donations of blankets are still welcome.
