MUIR College took advantage of good bowling conditions to reduce Brandwag High School to 80 all out in the match played at Uitenhage last Saturday.

Opening bowler, Siya Mdlankomo, bowled with pace and aggression and was complimented by Matthew Walsh, who swung the ball prodigiously.

The back-up bowlers, Liyema Gaba and Enkosi Joxo, kept up the pressure to restrict the home team. The bowlers shared the spoils, finishing with two wickets apiece.

Muir started nervously in persuit of their target and owing to some good fielding, they lost two early wickets due to run-outs. However, the in-form Wongalethu Hobo took the attack to the bowlers, making a quickfire 50 not out to see his team to an 8- wicket victory.

Other Results:

Second XI: Muir 253/5. Brandwag 183 all out. Muir won by 70 runs.

U/15A: Muir 91 all out. Brandwag 91 for 6. Brandwag won by 4 wickets.

U/14A: Brandwag 74 all out. Muir 75/4. Muir won by 6 wickets.
