If you like to bake and have a heart for your community, you are destined to become a Cupcake Angel and pledge your 24 cupcakes in support of Childhood Cancer and the early detection which can save a child’s life.

A Party of Hope, where cupcakes will be “exchanged” for a donation towards the Cupcakes of Hope cancer foundation will be hosted in Uitenhage at the Levyvale SuperSpar on Saturday, September 24th.

“Whilst reading Facebook, the thought crossed my mind that Uitenhage should also be part of the cupcake drive in support of children with cancer. I’ve shared my idea with friends and family and they all were very enthusiastic,” said Deisre Cloete, the organiser of the Cupcakes of Hope event.

“Within a short time we have received donations of ingredients and toppers and a number of Cupcake Angels started baking. At this stage we have more than 800 cupcakes.”

The Party of Hope will commence at 09:00 on Saturday, September 24th. The Cupcake Angels will also visit children at Uitenhage Provincial Hospital as well as Netcare Cuyler Hospital to give them cupcakes to enjoy.
