The Management Committee of the Uitenhage & District SPCA would like to extend its grateful thanks to all who have so generously opened their hearts and homes to the plight of the many needy animals in the shelter over the past year.

Deirdre Swift, Chairperson of the Uitenhage SPCA said, “Without the continued support and generosity of the public, business, service clubs and schools, our shelter would not have been able to keep its doors open and continue to serve the animals in our community.

“To all who have passed through our gates, whether to donate or to offer a home to a needy animal, thank you for your contribution to animal welfare.

“Our thanks go to the members of the public who make monthly EFTs or make use of our debit order system and SMS donation lines to contribute to the SPCA. Let us also not forget the businesses that so willingly allow us to place collection containers in their outlets and their patrons who support the copper collection.

“To all our wonderful volunteers, on and off site, your time and dedication is greatly valued and appreciated. We are privileged and fortunate to have such an extensive support base which truly reflects a compassion for homeless, neglected and abused animals.”

  • The SPCA wishes all its supporters a blessed Christmas and prosperous New Year.
