VLV vroue besoek Mula-herwinningsprojek

Vroue van die plaaslike Carpe Diem VLV-tak het onlangs ’n draai by die veelbesproke Mula herwinningsprojek op Uitenhage gaan maak.

Die projek het in Junie afgeskop met die doel om die gemeenskap aan te moedig om herwinbare produkte in te weeg in ruil vir Mula-punte. Die punte kan ingeruil word vir noodsaaklike items soos kosse, klere, opvoedkundige items en vele ander.

“Ons lede was so verras oor die lang ry kinders, wat opgewonde gewag het om hul kosbare herwinbare fondse te laat weeg om te sien hoeveel ‘Mulas’ hul verdien,” het Marietjie van der Walt van die Carpe Diem VLV-tak gesê.

“Die kinders leer dissipline en higiëne. Om jou beurt af te wag en punte op te weeg vir wat hulle ook al wil huistoe vat.”

Die publiek kan enigiets bydra, van kombuisware wat miskien nooit gebruik word nie, skryfbehoeftes, goeie gebruikte klere tot kruideniersware.

“Dit is ‘n wonderlike manier om die buurt skoon te maak, te herwin, te leer hoe om somme te maak en met geld te werk en nie te bedel vir kos nie!

“Baie geluk aan die span vrywillige werkers wat ’n positiewe verskil in hulle woon- buurt maak. Nog vrywilligers word gesoek om in ander woonbuurtes ook sulke winkels die lig te laat sien,” het Van der Walt gesê.
