Lara Naidoo, a Grade 10 learner at Riebeek College Girls’ High School, is a semi- finalist in a beauty pageant, but needs her hometown’s support in being crowned Miss High Schools South Africa 2016.

There are only 35 days left to cast votes in favour of Lara. She currently has the second highest voting count in this national beauty pageant.

The objective of the pageant is to empower young girls through education by means of the winners receiving bursaries to further their studies.

Lara is one of two girls chosen to represent the Eastern Cape at a gala event which will be held in Gauteng early December.
