Durban – One person has been killed and three injured in two separate accidents in Durban.

Two vehicles collided on the N3 near the Tollgate Bridge around 03:30 on Saturday morning, killing a man in his twenties, Advanced Life Support spokesperson Ceron Lennox said.

Two people were seriously injured, and were treated on the scene.

Overturned truck

In a separate incident, a truck overturned around 10:20 on Saturday on the M13, Fields Hill near Pinetown, Durban, Netcare911 spokesperson Chris Botha said.

The truck was lying on its side, obstructing the inbound traffic.

The driver escaped with minor injuries.

The three injured were transported to nearby hospitals. The causes of both accidents were being investigated.
