Johannesburg – Ten children were injured when their minibus taxi crashed into a car in Northcliff, Johannesburg, on Friday morning, paramedics said.

The taxi apparently failed to stop at an intersection, crashed into the car, and flipped onto its side, ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said.

The children, aged between five and 13, sustained minor injuries and were taken to various hospitals. Police were investigating.

On Thursday morning, 17 children were injured when their minibus crashed on the Higginson Highway in Chatsworth, Durban.

On Wednesday last week, 21 school children were injured when their minibus rolled on Mare Road in Roodepoort, on Gauteng's West Rand.
