11 hurt in Polokwane crash

Johannesburg - Eleven people were injured in a head-on collision on the R81 outside Polokwane on Sunday, paramedics said.

"We've got 11 people injured, four of which were critical. Four people had serious injuries and the remaining three had minor to moderate injuries," said ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks.

"Of the critical patients one is an infant and the other a child aged between five and seven-years-old," he said.

The injured were taken to the Mankweng Hospital and the Polokwane Provincial Hospital.
