14 injured in Amazimtoti head-on collision

Amanzimtoti - Fourteen people were injured in a head-on collision between a car and a taxi on the M37 in Amanzimtoti on Saturday morning, paramedics said.

"Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the crumpled remains of the car in the middle of the intersection of the M35 and the Kwa Makutha Link Road, the taxi came to rest against the armco barriers about 50m down the roadway," Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Roberts said.

The injured sustained serious to moderate injuries.

They were transported to various hospitals in the area.
