Four people were killed and five others injured when a light delivery vehicle overturned in Middelburg on Sunday, spokesperson Moeti Mmusi said late on Sunday.

The driver lost control of the vehicle when the tyre burst.

The injured were taken to a hospital in Middelburg.

Six people were killed when their car crashed into an oncoming truck on the N12 highway near Witbank on Saturday afternoon.

Also on Saturday, two people were killed and 11 others were injured in a head-on collision between a minibus taxi and a car near Mbombela, said Mmusi.

It is because the drivers drive without care and traffic control is not visible. The solid white line means nothing to someone driving without a license. I saw it with my own eyes. It creates a lot of tension when driving there, you never know if the guy behind you can make a sound judgement when passing by. 14 people dead in 3 days = road tension.

The Mpumalanga local government is only good at giving statistics gathered by other institutions when needed. They fail however to make critical decisions that will make the lives of the people living there better. In fact it is non existent ------ THEY ALL SIT ON THEIR BACKS AND WATCH EVERYTHING FALL APPART. They are leaving behing quite a legacy, well done ANC.
