15 children injured in Germiston crash

Johannesburg - Fifteen children were injured when two light delivery vehicles collided in Leondale, Germiston, on Tuesday, paramedics said.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann said the children were between one and five years old.

She said one of the vehicles crashed into a tree.

"Upon their [paramedics] arrival at the scene all the patients were out of the vehicles and standing on the side of the road."

She said on assessment it was found that all the children had sustained injuries, ranging from minor to serious.

They were treated at the scene and transported to hospital.
