Johannesburg – An 18-year-old woman was raped at the Lenasia South Clinic, Gauteng police said on Thursday.

A man attacked and raped her while she was in the toilet, Captain Kay Makhubela said.

DA health spokesperson Jack Bloom said there had been rapes at other clinics before, but usually at night and over weekends.

"We need to know how a security lapse occurred at this clinic, which was guarded by a security company that is paid more than R6m a year," Bloom said.
