Cape Town - One of the men accused of murdering Tokai teenager Franziska Blöchliger is finalising a plea agreement with the State, while another is expected to plead guilty to being in possession of the teen's stolen cellphone.

The four accused in the case - Howard Oliver, Jerome Moses, Jonathan Jonas and Daniel Easter - appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate's Court on Wednesday on charges of rape, robbery and murder.

The case was postponed due to the magistrate being unavailable.

Monique Carstens, representing Oliver, Moses and Easter, confirmed that Oliver intended to apply for bail at his next appearance on December 6.

Carstens said Moses was finalising a plea and sentencing agreement for possession of stolen property.

He was also granted relaxed bail conditions to allow him to be treated at a drug rehabilitation centre in Elsies River until January 20.

Carstens confirmed Easter would plead guilty to possession of stolen property, relating to Franziska's cellphone.

A post-mortem found that Franziska, 16, was strangled and suffocated and had sustained blunt-force trauma when she was attacked in Tokai Forest on March 7.

Sand was found in her throat and she had been raped vaginally and anally.

She had arranged to meet her mother after going jogging in the popular recreational area by herself.

When Franziska did not arrive at the agreed meeting place, the family began to worry.

Her body was found during a search.

She had been robbed of her iPhone, watch, headset and diamond ring.

The accused were allegedly linked to the crime through witnesses and were found in possession of her belongings.
