Johannesburg - Two men were arrested for allegedly robbing a clothing shop of an undisclosed amount of money in Fordsburg, Johannesburg, Gauteng police said on Thursday.

"It is alleged that three suspects entered the clothing shop pretending to be customers," said Warrant Officer Xoli Mbele.

"Two of them produced firearms and tied [up] a 66-year-old female [and] three colleagues with cable ties. They took an undisclosed amount of money before they fled the scene."

He said the shop was robbed on Wednesday.

Community members alerted the police and two men were arrested.

"The third one is still at large with money and a firearm."

"One firearm was recovered from the suspects with no serial number and live ammunition."

The men, aged 39 and 42, were charged with business robbery and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
