Johannesburg - Two men were arrested outside Kimberley when dagga worth about R600 000 on the street was found in their car on Tuesday, Northern Cape police said.

The men, aged 32 and 43, from KwaZulu-Natal, were caught on the N8, said Lieutenant Sergio Kock.

"The vehicle was spotted at 09:45 and a high-speed chase ensued," he said.

"The vehicle was pulled off eventually and more than 40 black bags containing dagga were found stashed in the boot and on the back seat."

The men would appear soon in the Kimberley Magistrate's Court.
