Bloemfontein - The bodies of two teenagers have been found behind a church in Thaba Nchu, Free State police said on Monday.

The boy and girl were found in Selosesha Zone 3 on Sunday morning at 06:30, spokesperson Sergeant Martin Xuma said.

They were identified as Lehlohonolo Shuping, 16, who had multiple stab wounds to the head, and a 15-year-old girl only known as Nthabiseng. She had stab wounds to the head and throat.

Both victims were half naked. Broken beer bottles found on the scene were believed to have been used in the crime.
