Port Elizabeth - Two men died after their light aircraft crashed near Uitenhage in the Eastern Cape, police said on Saturday.

"A light aircraft crashed at 09:40 [this morning] on the Fyfergat farm in the Kruisrivier area. The two men inside died on impact," said police spokesperson Warrant Officer Marianette Olivier.

Olivier said officials were trying to determine the identity of the two men, as well as the route and destination of the aircraft.

So they actually died WHEN their plane crashed - ie on impact. So why does the intro say "after their light aircraft crashed" They didn't get out of the plane, walk about and then die. Reporters do this ALL the time. And as for police reports on shootings. The police "shot and killed" or a man died after he was "shot and killed" by his friend. What ever happened to "a man was shot dead"? Or were they shot, and then killed some other way afterwards? But condolences to the family anyway.
