Cape Town – Two minors were killed when a fire broke out in Fisantekraal early on Monday morning, Cape Town’s fire and rescue service said.

Spokesperson Theo Layne said it was impossible to determine their age and gender.

Emergency fire services responded to the blaze just after 00:30, which destroyed four wood and iron structures, leaving around 15 people displaced.

A woman and two children were sent to hospital with burn wounds.

Layne said it was not clear what had caused the fire.

Police would investigate.
