Cape Town - Two people were shot and wounded at a funeral in Ottery, Cape Town, on Saturday afternoon, Western Cape police said.

Warrant Officer November Filander said armed men fired shots at the funeral of Peter Meyer, a gang member who was killed on Tuesday.

He said a woman, 65, and man, 21, were injured.

The gang fled in a taxi.

Filander said the flying squad followed a black Mercedes Benz that sped off from the cemetery.

The car was stopped in Strandfontein road and four women were found with two guns, one with the serial number filed off and the other stolen.

"We will investigate if the shooting incident and the recovery of the two firearms are linked," Filander said.

The four would appear in the Wynberg Magistrate's Court on Monday for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

Cape gangsters can't shoot straight , because they look in the opposite direction of where the gad is pointing

Wynberg Magistrate's Court will give them free bail on monday, and those two guns will go missing from the police station. Knowing that there is no evidence they will be found not guilty!

If only endorphins will not be released into the brain after taking any substance, the demand will vanish overnight...dream dream dream. Our illegal drug industry employs hundreds of thousands of people. The only way to destroy the demand is to give free drugs to the addicts at their local clinics. Along with being registered on the books, they can have access to psychological treatment for the underlying problems, which may have driven them to take drugs in the first place.

If they find someone with an unlicensed fireman, they should be cahrged with attempted murder. Why else are they carrying the firearm. Maybe they should also send all gangsters for weapons training so that when they shoot they will shoot another gangster.
