20 arrested in Cape Town raids

Cape Town - Twenty people were arrested for various crimes in Mitchells Plain at the start of the weekend, Western Cape police said on Saturday.

Captain Frederik van Wyk said 16 people were arrested for allegedly being in possession of drugs and another person for dealing in drugs on Friday night.

Police confiscated 30 dagga cigarettes and 13 mandrax tablets during the arrests.

On Saturday morning, police arrested three people in possession of an unlicensed firearm.

    nice work but next time go to our black townships its dissaster over there people are killing each other every day lots of illegal fire arms drugs GOD HELP THE TOWNSHIPS ITS GETTING FROM BAD TO WORSE. If it is the political problem we want to see or natural problem.

      and this is news? OMG, this is but a fraction of a fraction of what's going on in the area - But I suppose the SAPS have to be seen to be "fighting crime" It's common knowledge that most of the Cops are on the weekly wage bill of the big dealers which is why you'll never hear of a Major Dealer being bust.
